Managing Director and Head of Operations at the Eden Hotels and Resorts
Than Htut is Managing Director and Head of Operations at the Eden Hotels and Resorts. Based in Yangon, he oversees a diverse portfolio of 8 hotels with a serviced residence and a couple of restaurants.
With more than two decades of experience in the education sector and hospitality sector, Than Htut has served as an owner’s representative of three Hilton properties in Myanmar since Hilton signed Management Agreement with Eden Group in June 2014. As an Executive Director of Eden Group, he is responsible for international business relations. As an active hospitality professional, he took responsibility as the Chairman of the Myanmar Hotelier Association (Nay Pyi Taw Zone) from November 2016 to February 2020. Currently, he also serves as Chairman of the International Relations Committee of Myanmar Hotelier Association (MHA).
Mr Htut studied his postgraduate education at the University of Leicester and the University of London, United Kingdom. He is married with two sons: Ko Thant and Ko Thet. He enjoys quality family time as well as hiking, biking, playing tennis, swimming and planting trees.
