ABOUT DAW KHYN HLA HLA AUNG
Daw Khyn Hla Hla Aung, also known as Cherie Aung-Khin, born on May 21, 1947, is a devout Buddhist and married individual. She holds a Master’s degree in History from the University of Yangon. She has a distinguished career as the Owner, CEO, and Designer of Elephant House Group of Companies in Myanmar and Thailand.
Her ventures include Elephant House Co., Ltd in Bangkok, Thailand, as well as Green Elephant Restaurants and Green Elephant House Co., Ltd involved in retail and export/import businesses. Notably, she has been recognized as one of the 500 Great Asians of The Early 21st Century.
She actively participates in various seminars, fairs, and conferences, representing Myanmar’s industry and women’s networks across South Asia. She is an esteemed member of the Central Elected Committee of the Myanmar Restaurant Association and contributes to academia through teaching English Speaking at Yangon English Academy.
Her extensive experiences in business, design, and cultural exchange underscore her commitment to entrepreneurship, community engagement, and professional development.
